Well Man Check

Most experts would agree that preventative medicine is always worthwhile. One way we can keep track of our general health is a well man screen.

An easy and simple way to do this is a blood test to measure key markers of our health.  This is known as Well Man Screening.

These tests are not expensive and tell you much about your overall health. There is no downtime with such tests which can be done in your lunch hour.

Results are available within a few days at the most.

An appointment will be made for you to discuss your results with one of our Urologists

If you have any concerns, you can make an appointment with one of our Urologists or see your GP at your local surgery.

DL2

This test gives a good insight into your kidney, liver and blood function.

FT4/TSH

This test checks the function of your thyroid. We look at your TSH, (thyroid stimulating hormone) and FT4 (Thyroxine).

Ferritin

With this test we check your iron stores.  If your blood level is low, then it could indicate iron deficiency anaemia.

Prostate Profile

This test checks of prostate cancer. It measures the amount of PSA (Prostate specific antigen) in your blood. PSA is a protein that is produced in cancerous and non-cancerous tissue within the prostate.
