Expectations vs Reality with Penis Enlargement Surgery

Expectations vs Reality with Penis Enlargement Surgery Expectations vs Reality with Penis Enlargement Surgery

If you are wanting to make your penis bigger, then the first thing on your mind might be, “what is really possible?”

How can you get to the truth rather than the hype?

The internet is flooded with penis enlargement pills adverts, and judging by the number of adverts, many guys are prepared to try them. Maybe it’s because they cost just a few pounds and if the penis doesn’t get bigger there isn’t much financial loss, and you don’t have to tell anybody about it.

Most experts say that penis enlargement pills simply don’t work. We would agree. Don’t expect much from them because that’s very likely you will get no growth at all.

Beyond pills, you could look at penis traction devices and penis pumps. Now there is evidence that penis traction devices can increase penis size over time. The trouble with penis traction devices is that they take a long time before you see any results, at least nine months. Of course, there are no guarantees with these devices, you simply have to commit to the daily use and hope for the best. They are certainly a big step up from penis enlargement pills though, with scientific evidence that they work.

Penis Pumps are usually used for erectile dysfunction. Some Urologists believe that regular use of a penis pump gives the penis a bit of a workout. The penis is a bit like a muscle. If you don’t use it you are likely to lose it. Penis pumps push blood into the penis and expand the tissues. Our view is that given the choice between a penis traction device and a penis pump, we would suggest starting with a penis traction device. If you are fully committed then there is no reason why you couldn’t embark on both.

Penis fillers are very popular in the UK since Moorgate Andrology introduced them here several years ago. They increase penis girth when both flaccid and erect. The weight of the filler can make the penis look a bit longer, but they are mainly a girth-enhancing product. Most men have between 10 and 20ml injected in the first treatment. That’s 10 to 20ml of hyaluronic acid, the same stuff that is used to fill in facial wrinkles and plump up lips. This one really does work but has the downside that you will need to commit to top-up treatments to keep the results. This treatment is not permanent.

Depending on your starting penis length expect to achieve a one to three centimeters increase in girth. A word of warning, don’t be tempted to have more than 20ml in the first treatment as this can increase the risk of lumps and bumps on the penis.

Penis enlargement surgery is now hugely popular in the UK. This procedure increases flaccid penis length between one and two inches and flaccid and erect girth by about the same (depending on initial absorption rates). Most guys seeking medical help for penis enlargement will choose it because the results last – it’s a permanent option.

Expectations need to be tempered, however. There is only so much that can be achieved even when undergoing penis enlargement surgery. It’s possible to get slightly more than the aforementioned numbers, but also slightly less. One has to remember that another one or two inches on the length and /or girth of the penis can make a big difference.

For those who are not prepared to pay anything then there are self-help measures such as jelqing. There is some conjecture surrounding the success of this procedure, but the manual stretching of the penis has some scientific evidence that it can increase cell production deep inside the corporal bodies of the penis. One should be careful though, too much force on the penis can cause damage in the long term and lead to conditions such as Peyronie’s disease.

So, if you are looking to increase the size of your penis, stick to science and avoid sorcery. Be realistic and know that even surgery can only do so much.
