Have you tried Viagra?

viagra Have you tried Viagra?

When it first came out it was dubbed the wonder pill. For many men, it certainly was and continues to be. There was a time when one of the first line treatments was self injecting your penis to get an erection. This treatment, whilst still a part of erectile dysfunction clinics, has largely been pushed down the line as the first line treatment is oral medication.

If you have erectile dysfunction then Viagra can be a god send. You take it before sex and it should keep you going a good three hours, with a little help from your partner shall we say, it could last around five hours.

Three to five hours is probably long enough for most men, and too long for some.

Viagra works by stimulating blood flow. It’s the blood flow to the penis that enables us to get an erection. If the blood isn’t flowing for one reason or another, then that’s when you struggle.

If you have tried Viagra then you will know just how well it works for you. If you are taking it you will know that you can’t take it for more than once a day. If you are very lucky and have the sex life of Casanova, then you might have to switch medications to one such as Cialis.

If you haven’t tried Viagra yet, then there are a few pointers that you need to be aware of.

Firstly, you shouldn’t mix it with alcohol. Forget using it as a back up after a heavy session at the pub. Even if your wife still wants you after staggering in the front door, you could find that the magic blue pill has suddenly lost a little of its magic. This is because Alcohol reduces blood pressure and that’s why the proverbial “brewers droop” occurs. The blood flow to the penis is compromised. If you are lucky it might still work but most Doctors will tell you not to mix medication with alcohol anyway.

Viagra has side effects, all medications do. Hopefully you won’t experience them and Viagra will become your new best friend. Side effects include headaches. Try explaining to your partner why you have a headache.

Other rather annoying side effects include runny nose, back pain, muscle ache and nausea. Of course, most men will not experience these side effects and the only thing you can do is try them and see.

Viagra is now available over the counter. You don’t  need to see your Doctor first. If you are taking any medication at the moment you should mention this to your pharmacist before you buy them (be prepared, he might ask). Some drugs can behave strangely when mixed together.

If you are thinking of trying Viagra just to get a massive hard erection, then think carefully. There are other options of treatment out there to help with this. This is not really meant to be a social drug. It’s there for guys who really have got a problem getting or maintaining an erection. Of course the whole world knows that it is being used in a social way, it’s just that you should understand that it can come with side effects.

Now that it is on the chemist shelf will it tempt you to try it?

Chemists are quick to see the lucrative opportunities for them and Viagra is now prominently placed in most major pharmacies.

Now you might want to try it, but do you have the courage to ask for it?

Or are you going to go out of the area to buy it,  just in case Mrs Smith on the counter, who lives on your street, just might tell everyone at the bingo?
