Penis Enlargement Surgery Before and After: What You Need to Know

Deciding to undergo penis enlargement surgery is a big step, and naturally, most men want to know what results to expect. At Moorgate Andrology, we believe in setting realistic expectations and providing full transparency. This guide covers what happens before and after surgery, typical results, and how to maximise your outcome.

📌 Before Penis Enlargement Surgery

1. Consultation

Your journey begins with a confidential consultation with a urologist. During this meeting, we:

  • Discuss your goals and expectations.

  • Review medical history.

  • Recommend the most suitable procedure (ligament release, fat transfer, or combined surgery).

  • Right now, consultations with our Urologists are free of charge

2. Pre-Surgical Assessments

You may undergo medical checks to ensure you’re fit for surgery. This includes blood tests, lifestyle advice, and guidance on preparing for anaesthesia. If you have medical conditions then our patient care team will arrange the required tests for you before your surgery. your safety is our number one concern at all times.

3. Setting Expectations
It’s important to understand the average results:

  • Length increase: Typically 2.5–5 cm in the flaccid state. The results of penis lengthening surgery is very predictable. We do not use implants as others do to prevent ligament reattachment as they tend of migrate and require removal. Our Urology team have developed their own technique of " tissue interposition" to create a barrier to stop ligament reattachment instead of implants. In the four years that we have adopted this technique we have not hada single case of ligament reattachment and we have now left behind all issues associated with implants. We are the only clinic able to offer this advanced procedure.

  • Girth increase: Depending on fat transfer volume, usually 2. 5–5 cm. The penis is thicker both in the flaccid and erect girth by the transfer of purified fat cells.

🏥 The Surgery Itself

  • Ligament Release Surgery – Frees the suspensory ligament, allowing more of the penis to extend externally. This is natural penis lengthening without using implants

  • Fat Transfer – Fat harvested from another part of your body is purified and injected to increase girth. The purified fat cells are injected to the maximum volume that your penis can safely take.

  • Combined Surgery – For men who want maximum enhancement in both length and girth. This is by far the most common procedure in penis enlargement surgery in the UK. Most men opt for length and girth surgery at the same time.

The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia or sedation and usually takes 1 hour.

📅 After Penis Enlargement Surgery

1. Immediate Recovery

  • All men go home the same day. Expect to be at the hospital for just a few hours

  • Swelling and bruising are normal in the first 1–2 weeks. Sometimes this can take a few weeks to settle completely.

  • Pain is usually managed with prescribed medication. Its not considered a painful procedure.

2. Returning to Normal Life

  • Light activities can be resumed in a few days. If your work is sedentary then two to three days off work should be fine. if your job involves heavy lifting then a week off would be more prudent.

  • Sexual activity and strenuous exercise should be avoided for at 6 weeks.

  • Full healing continues for several weeks after this but the final result is evident at six weeks

  •

3. Final Results

Your before and after transformation becomes most visible around 3 months post-surgery, once swelling subsides and tissue stabilises.

⚖️ Surgery vs Fillers: Long-Term Results

  • Surgery – Permanent enhancement after one procedure.

  • Fillers – Temporary results lasting 12–24 months, requiring maintenance.

While fillers are an excellent trial option, surgery remains the gold standard for men seeking lasting transformation.

💡 Tips for the Best Results

  1. Follow Aftercare Strictly – Attend check-ups and follow your surgeon’s guidance.

  2. Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle – Avoid smoking and excessive drinking in the weeks before and after surgery

  3. Be Patient – Final results take time to fully show. Allow 3 months , however at six weeks the typical results will be evident
