If you are planning on having a penis enlargement procedure carried out to improve the length of your member or increase your girth, you should also consider having a ‘glans enhancement’.
Why consider glans enhancement?
The glans (head of the penis) is not directly affected when you have the length or girth of your penis increased. This can leave the glans looking out of proportion to the rest of your member. Although having a small glans won’t affect the performance of your penis during intercourse, it can rather detract from the look.
Another great advantage of having your glans enhanced is that the procedure can desensitise it somewhat, meaning that it will take you longer to achieve orgasm, which can be good news for your partner!
What’s involved in glans enhancement?
The glans is unlike the shaft of the penis in that it doesn’t have a lot of superfluous skin available under which to place dermal fillers. The glans is therefore enlarged through the use of hyaluronic acid, just like the treatment for lip plumping and other similar cosmetic procedures. Three or four syringes of the chemical are injected into the glans via a very fine needle. A topical pain killing injection is used to numb the area and make the injections less painful.
The treatment itself only takes around 20 minutes and you will be free to go home straight away. You may experience a small amount of discomfort and bruising around the injection site, but this should disappear within a day or so. You’ll be fine to return to work and take up normal exercise following your procedure, but you should refrain from intercourse for 48 hours.
How long does glans enhancement last?
You will notice an increase in the size of your glans immediately following the injections. This will make the finished effect of your penis enlargement procedure look much more in proportion.
However, it’s not a permanent effect as your body will gradually begin to break down the hyaluronic acid. This means that your glans will slowly shrink back to its original size, and you will need to have the procedure repeated in order to maintain the effect. In general, a top-up treatment will be needed between three and 12 months, depending on how quickly your body absorbs the chemicals.
