What Is a Pubic Lift?
A pubic lift is a cosmetic surgical procedure that removes loose, sagging skin from the mons pubis, the area just above the base of the penis. This surgery is designed to restore firmness and contour to the pubic region, particularly in men who have experienced significant weight loss or natural skin laxity with age.
By lifting and tightening the area, the pubic lift not only enhances the appearance of the lower abdomen but also helps reveal more of the penis and prevents it from appearing buried or retracted.
Why It’s Needed
For many men, loose skin around the pubic area can develop over time due to ageing, weight fluctuations, or genetics. In these cases, the soft tissue may begin to droop downward, covering the base of the penis and making it appear smaller or partially hidden.
This can lead to:
- Difficulty with intimacy or self-confidence
- Physical discomfort, especially when sitting or during exercise
- A desire to correct the aesthetic imbalance after losing significant weight
A pubic lift corrects these concerns by removing excess skin and lifting the entire region to create a smoother, more youthful appearance.
How It Works
The procedure is performed under general anaesthetic in a CQC-regulated surgical facility. The surgeon makes a discreet incision in the natural fold where the lower abdomen meets the pubic area. Through this incision, excess skin is removed, and the remaining tissue is lifted and re-anchored to a higher position.
This operation may also include:
- Fat pad reduction, to flatten the area
- Suspensory ligament release, if increased penile visibility is also a goal
Stitches are typically dissolvable, and a light compression garment may be worn during recovery to reduce swelling.
Benefits of a Pubic Lift
A pubic lift can provide a wide range of physical and psychological benefits, including:
- Increased penis visibility by lifting tissue that otherwise obscures the shaft
- Enhanced comfort during intimacy, physical activity, or when wearing fitted clothing
- A firmer, more contoured appearance to the lower abdomen and pubic region
- Improved hygiene and confidence, particularly for men post-weight loss
For many men, this procedure is a key part of achieving their desired body image after major transformation or to address long-standing concerns.
Recovery and Combination Treatments
Recovery is typically straightforward. You can expect:
- Light activities resumed within 1 week
- Return to work or exercise in around 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the extent of surgery
- Full recovery in 4–6 weeks, with results becoming more visible as swelling subsides
Scars are carefully placed within natural folds of the skin, making them discreet once healed.
Our team provides full post-operative care to ensure the best cosmetic and medical outcome.
Combine with Other Procedures
A pubic lift is often performed in combination with other male enhancement surgeries.
Common combinations include:
- Penile Lengthening Surgery – to increase visible flaccid length.
- Pubic Fat Pad Removal – for a flatter and more defined pubic region.
- Girth Enhancement – to further improve proportions.
Your surgeon will tailor a plan based on your goals and anatomy.
