At the same time, he had an autologous fat transfer to his penis to make the penis thicker in the flaccid and erect state. The donor fat was harvested from the belly and inner thighs. At Moorgate Andrology our Urologists are Dr Nenad Djakovic and Dr Gerasimos Fragkoulis. Both are on the General Medical Council specialist register for Urology.

Dr Djakovic has extensive experience in Urology, holding Consultant posts in the German Health service. Dr Fragkoulis has a post in the United Kingdom health service, currently completing a fellowship.

You can be reassured at Moorgate Andrology that only Specialist registered Urologists carry out male genital surgery procedures and penile augmentation. Wherever you go and whomever you choose for your penis enlargement surgery, our recommendation is to choose a GMC Specialist registered Urologist.

At Moorgate Andrology we carry out all penis enlargement surgery procedures under general anaesthetic. This is because we want our patients to have a comfortable experience and not feel any discomfort during the procedure. When the procedure is performed under general anaesthesia you will not feel any pain at all. Of course, the procedure can be carried out under local anaesthetic or sedation, but it must be remembered that the procedure could be very painful under these conditions. Liposuction must be performed to remove the fat from the abdomen and inner thighs for girth enhancement and the ligamentolysis is a deep structure attached to the pubic bone. If you are concerned about any aspect of the anaesthesia used, then you should discuss this with the Urologist at your consultation. Your suitability for general anaesthesia will be checked as part of your assessment for penile augmentation surgery.

It is very important to stick to the post-operative rules on the healing process and recovery time following your penile augmentation surgery. One of those key rules relates to sexual activity after the surgery. Your Urologist will tell you to avoid all sexual activity following the surgery for a period of six weeks. This includes sexual intercourse and masturbation. The reason that you must avoid sex for this period is partly due to the fat transfer to increase the penis size and girth. It takes time for the fat transfer to settle into the penis and having sex too soon can cause the fat to migrate into lumps and bumps. Similarly, when the ligamentolysis has been done to make the penis longer, there will be a small incision in the lower pubic area. This will contain dissolvable sutures which will take time to fall out on their own. It is important not to dislodge the sutures at this time after penis enlargement surgery.

It is best to avoid sport and gym for six weeks after surgery. If you engage in sport or heavy exercise then you could make the penis swell more. Of course, usual daily activities such as walking etc are fine.

The procedure is permanent. At Moorgate Andrology we have our own technique to prevent ligament reattachment. We use native tissues to act as a barrier to prevent the ligaments from joining up again. We are the only UK provider that can do this. Others will either do nothing to prevent ligament reattachment or place a silicone implant, which has risks of infection and displacement
