Swelling and bruising – normal in the first 2–3 weeks. Usually on the belly and inner thighs where the fat was taken from to increase penis girth
Minor asymmetry – Can be resolved with the post surgery massage regime you will follow. Any stubborn lumps can usually be treated in the out patient clinic
Infection – extremely rare with sterile technique and proper aftercare. About 1 % of patients will get an infection that needs further treatment even though they are already taking antibiotics
Sensory changes – usually temporary, permanent changes are extremely rare. Most of the sensitivity of the penis is is the glans, and we do not operate there. The inner thighs can be a bit numb for the first few weeks after the harvesting of some fat from this area. This is normal and subsides gradually.
