The first week after surgery is all about taking things a touch easier and allowing your body to heal.
Swelling & Bruising – Mild to moderate swelling and bruising around the belly and inner thighs is normal. This is the area that's sore, its not your penis its the area where we took the fat from. Your inner thighs may feel a bit numb
Pain Management – Pain is usually well controlled with prescribed medication. Most patients need no more than over the counter medication for pain relief. It is not considered a particularly painful procedure
Mobility – You should take it easy. Short, gentle walks around your home are encouraged to help circulation, but avoid strenuous activity such as gym sport and sexual activity.
Follow-Up – You’ll have a check-up with your surgeon to ensure everything is healing correctly. This first follow up is usually within the first week or so after surgery. Our patient care team will contact you to arrange this arrange this. You will be able top return to work with three days to one week, depending on the type of work that you do.
Week 2–3: Early Healing
By weeks two and three, most patients begin to feel more comfortable.
Swelling and bruising start to subside.
Stitches (if used) may dissolve. Some take a week or two longer so do not be concerned f they have not all fallen out just yet
Light daily activities become easier.
Avoid lifting, exercise, and sexual activity.
At this stage, you’ll start to notice improvements in appearance and comfort.
The penis will look closer to its new, natural shape as swelling continues to reduce and the fat cell start to organise themselves in the girth aspect
You may begin light exercise (walking, stretching), but avoid heavy lifting or gym workouts.
Most patients report a boost in self-confidence as early results become visible.
By now, many patients are cleared for more active exercise.
Sexual activity can typically be resumed
The penis should feel comfortable, with only minor sensitivity changes remaining.
Final results will gradually become apparent.
Scar tissue continues to soften over the coming months.
Your new size and shape are now established, providing long-lasting confidence.
Follow all aftercare instructions carefully.
Avoid smoking and alcohol, as these slow healing, especially when you are taking the antibiotics in the first week
Wear supportive underwear during early recovery. You can wear whatever type of underwear makes you comfortable.
Attend all follow-up appointments with your surgeon. Do not miss these because they are important.
