Early and accurate diagnosis of Peyronie’s disease is crucial for effective treatment and recovery. At Moorgate Andrology, our andrology specialists use advanced diagnostic tools to confirm the stage and severity of the condition.

Initial Consultation

During your first visit, a specialist will take a detailed medical and sexual history and discuss the symptoms you’re experiencing — such as curvature, pain, or erectile difficulty.

Physical Examination

The surgeon will gently feel for plaque or hardened tissue inside the penis. This helps identify the extent of fibrosis and curvature angle.

Imaging Techniques

In some cases, we use penile ultrasound to visualise blood flow and plaque thickness. This non-invasive test helps plan whether you’re suitable for non-surgical therapy (such as Shockwave or PRP) or surgical correction.

Next Steps

After diagnosis, your consultant will recommend a tailored plan which may include:

  • Verapamil Injections

  • Shockwave Therapy

  • Plaque Incision & Grafting Surgery for advanced cases
